In the spirit of radical behavior, I believe the Underground Railroad gave African-Americans a means of escape if the United States government at the time could not help. I feel that God helps those who help themselves, the African-Americans who escaped on the railroad I believe are the best kind of Negro. They are willing to steal their freedom if it isn't given to them.
